The Future as Stage Work is a performative lecture on time in the performing arts, approached from a non-linear perspective.

This lecture, created and performed by Sofía Asencio and Júlia Barbany, is activated through a device they have called The Thinking Machine.

The purpose of the Thinking Machine is to separate the elements that intervene and interact instantaneously in the transmission and reception of ideas within an auditorium. In this way, we can observe, as if looking at an event horizon, the exact moment when questions emerge and how the certainties that Júlia and Sofía arrive at throughout the lecture take shape.
