La felicidad no importa is a film-performance that follows a day in the life of Joan, a young man working at an almost empty cultural centre, caught between the routine of his job, the relentless flow of digital information and a persistent sense of existential emptiness. Through a combination of everyday images, spoken thoughts and reflections that engage with new ways of inhabiting the contemporary world, the work explores the relationships between work, loneliness, desire and representation in a hyperconnected society. On stage, the protagonist himself accompanies the screening of the film, blurring the boundaries between fiction and reality in order to question the place that truth, love and lived experience occupy today.
